"American Idol" judge Paula Abdul and restaurant owner J.T. Torregiani have broken up after a year together, her rep told Us Weekly.
The couple parted ways two months ago, and Torregiani has moved out of Abdul's Los Angeles home, the magazine reported.
The couple met in April 2007 when Torregiani, 33, introduced himself to Abdul after an "Idol" taping. In October, Abdul told USA Today that "he's a sweetie pie. He's a positive force that has come into my life right now. Where it leads, who knows?"
She also told the paper that the next step in her life was a baby. "Definitely within the next two years," she said. "I thought by now I'd have three grown children."
A source tells Us Weekly that the singer, 46, who made a name for herself with hits like "Straight Up" and "Forever Your Girl," is “doing fine. She has moved on with her life.” via
